What people are saying about us:

"BRAKE SAFE takes the guesswork out of brake adjustment...because the three indicator pins are brightly coloured, they are easily visible just by looking underneath the power unit or trailer...the whole process takes just a few minutes, meaning substantial cost saving in both time and money, especially with heavy fines for out-of-adjustment brakes."

President of Truck Watch Service Inc.

A leading truck inspection services company.

"BRAKE SAFE'S stroke indicators are the only way to go for guaranteed, accurate brake adjustments.  The devices are inexpensive and easy to install.  The actually make daily inspections practical.  With the increasing concern and publicity around truck safety, Brake Safe is insurance against safety incidents, road side detentions and bad publicity.  I recommend Brake Safe's system for any fleet, large or small."

He has appeared as an expert witness on numerous occasions before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ministry of Labour Arbitration, and the Ontario Appeal Court over the past decade.

Currently, Mr. VanderZwaag is Co-Chair of the Air Brake Endorsement Revision Committee for the Province of Ontario as well as Chair of the Commercial Vehicle Wheel Service Redevelopment Committee.

“We are pleased to have Canada’s leading expert on commercial vehicle air brakes join Spectra’s advisory board. Such an appointment further demonstrates our commitment to enhancing public safety while recognizing the needs of the transportation industry,” said Andrew Malion, Chairman of Spectra Inc.

Rolf VanderZwaag said, “Given that brake systems remain one of the trucking industry’s greatest compliance challenges, efforts in this area are very important for continuing to improve the industry’s safety record. I have looked at Spectra’s Brake Safe and Brake Inspector devices and believe that they make a significant contribution to safer and more productive truck operations.”

Rolf VanderZwaag joins Wayne Gibson, National Freight Manager of Teamsters Canada, John Tillger, previously President of Tibbett & Britten Canada, North America’s premier logistics firm, and Canadian Brigadier-General Ernest Beno, whose appointments to Spectra’s Advisory Board were recently announced.

“As one of North America’s leading designers and manufacturers of brake safety products for the truck and transportation industry, we decided it was appropriate to create an industry advisory board to broaden and enhance the company’s level of familiarity with industry issues and to support Spectra in evolving our long term sales and marketing strategies,” stated Andrew Malion.
